It's That Time Again!

Wow. I can't believe it's May already. It seems like just yesterday it was August and I was dreading the move up here to Boston and complaining about everything that was going wrong. Now we are just 11 days from heading back to FL and here I am again - w-a-y behind on packing and wondering why we came up here in the first place.

Yes, May 16th is the big day. Thankfully, my original plan of hiring mover (whish was snubbed for our move up here) was adopted and we're even going to have them pack the kitchen for us which will be a big help to me. I HATE packing the kitchen. So, the movers will come and pack the kitchen on the 15th (a Monday) and then they'll come back the next day and load the rest of the stuff. As soon as they're done we are outta here! I haven't been this excited since...I don't know when. I think I'm actually more excited about this then I was about the impending birth of my daughter.

Now, once we get to FL we'll still be busy for awhile. We first have to drive to Daytona to drop the dogs off at Stephen's parent's house because our fence won't be up yet. Then we'll drive to Tallahassee on the 18th so we can walk through the house before we close on the 19th at noon. At this point, we don't know when we'll have our furniture delivered. We have a window of anywhere between the 19th nad 26th. So, in the meantime (besides putting up a fenc), we'll be putting in light fixtures, fans, blinds, etc. That'll be fun. We like working on stuff like that. I'll be painting, too, which I'm not fond of because I feel like that's all I've been doing for the past 4 years, but it needs to be done for me to have the house the way I want it. We also have to buy a refrigerator (it doesn't come with the house) and furniture (couch/chairs and a dining set). The problem is: we can't really afford any of this, but we need it...so where do you draw the line? That's kinda stressing me out and I usually don't stress out about money.

So, we'll have a couple weeks to get the house organized before Stephen starts his ER rotation on the 1st. Then we will be flying back to Boston on the 7th for Stephen's graduation on the 8th. On the 9th, Stephen will fly from Boston to Chicago for an AMA meeting that he will attend until the 14th. The baby and I will fly back to FL by ourselves (soooo not looking forward to that) and prepare for her birthday party which will be on the 17th (a week after her actual birthday). So, my life won't be settled for at least another month, but right now I'm just trying to look at it as what I have to go through to get back to FL and so far, it's worth it!
